Snow

The way you are is perfect
Naked, raw, indisposed
Soft like purple feathers
Safe like chocolate silk
Hold your hair, your face, your hips
Love you till the end
Naked as we came
And still, we put on our snow jackets so that we stay warm.

  1. Each line of this poem has a texture - you can feel every word as you read it. Beautiful work.

  2. I love this line: "Naked, raw, indisposed". It feels so cold and vulnerable. When you come in with the purple feathers and the silk, the vulnerability and nakedness of that line helps me feel those things like they're touching my skin.
